The Center Street Dance Academy, a program of The Arts at Center Street, was founded by Gregg D. Garner. When his eldest daughter Genesis was very young, her dance lessons required a heavy financial and time commitment. Unfortunately, the school did not provide a healthy social or spiritual atmosphere for kids. He knew it was only a matter of time before his friends and neighbors with younger children were met with the same predicament.

Believing that dance can be an amazing opportunity to develop one’s abilities in storytelling, strength, communication and teamwork, Mr. Garner began the Center Street Dance Academy program. We’re focused on providing an experience of dance that will cultivate skill, foster healthy relationships between students, and reinforce good character. We offer affordable classes in a safe and healthy environment. It’s our goal that students develop coordination and balance, the ability to communicate via movement and storytelling, and that our students grow socially, learning teamwork and interpersonal skills.
