The Arts at Center Street is Awarded the Helper Grant from the Predators Foundation

We at The Arts at Center Street are proud to announce that we have been awarded the Helper Grant from the Nashville Predators Foundation. The Arts at Center Street is one of 183 nonprofit organizations that were selected as grant recipients in the 2024/25 year.

Funds awarded to The Arts at Center Street will be used to increase program offerings in children’s theatre and dance education to K-12 students. The Helper Grant allows The Arts at Center Street to provide programming at an affordable and accessible cost.

Sara Davis, Manager of the Center Street Dance Academy, accepts the Predators Foundation Helper Grant for the 2024/25 year in the amount of $7500.

The Arts at Center Street uniquely serves what has been called an “arts desert” in the Nashville area, which is the Lakewood/Old Hickory area. Here, we are one of only a few arts organizations striving to serve our local community. We partner with Nashville professionals to provide high-quality, attentive and individualized education to our students. It is our belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to receive an education in the arts. Furthermore, those that have this kind of education and experience have a stronger voice by which to contribute to matters of importance in our world. We are thankful to have the opportunity to do this enriching work that benefits not just our community, but the whole of Nashville.

A profound thanks to the Nashville Preds Foundation for their discerning and generous work. Go Preds!

The Predators Foundation holds a yearly ceremony to distribute grant funds and checks to nonprofits within the local community. This event provides the unique opportunity to celebrate the hardworking members of the nonprofit community in Nashville and show support for the many important efforts taking place all over the city of Nashville.
